What is Athletic Therapy?
Athletic Therapy is a growing profession that entails understanding the body as a whole through our assessment, management, prevention skills and implementing best treatment practices to help a wide range of population groups in multiple outlooks!
Athletic Therapists have specialized knowledge in the musculoskeletal system which involves bones, muscles, tendon, ligaments, joints, and other connective tissue to make up the skeleton and structure of the body.
Athletic Therapy and Training is for everyone! Even though the name may seem to have a bias to athletes, that is not the case! Athletic Therapists are always willing to educate and share their knowledge to patients about their own body and health!
What is Strength & Conditioning?
Strength & Conditioning is merely the implementation of sport science and human movement through the application of many domains.
Again, many may think S&C is categorized with athletes and improvement of human performance, yes this is one aspect. However, a major element of S&C (if not the most important) is injury prevention!
S&C Coaches are able to work with anyone that has a purpose to their training, and it is done through proper specific planning and understanding the individual’s movement quality.
S&C Coaches are prepared to educate individuals about their life performance and progress them with the autonomy for self-development.
What is Nutrition?
Nutrition is the science of substances in food that are needed for life. It helps with energy production, regulation of body processes, and the ability for the body to repair/grow/maintain tissues.
Individuals must understand that the foods we put into our bodies reflect our lives in all aspects. How we feel, move, sleep will be affected through what we eat and drink on a daily basis.
Nutrition is a part of who we are and the consistent actions we take towards growth must align with those values!
What is Recovery & Reflection?
Recovery and Reflection is multi-dimensional where it is unique to every specific individual and must be taken into daily consideration.
This can include mindset, nutrition, breath work, sleep, load management, physiological capacity, and self-awareness.
Physical and mental recovery are just some of the major components, there are many more approaches in order to have a holistic outlook.
There are many ways to go about with recovery and reflection but again, it is the consistency of efficient strategies to create adaptation!
